Filming for The Crown season 6 has been suspended following the news. The series creator Peter Morgan has publicly proclaimed that The Crown is a ‘love letter’ to the former monarch, so a pause of respect is expected. According to Deadline, Netflix have ‘long had plans in place should Queen Elizabeth die during its run'.
With season five scheduled for November, we won’t be seeing anything of season six for a while. But that doesn’t stop little announcements from spilling into the press. Recently, Deadline reported that the roles of Will and Kate in The Crown's sixth and final season have been filled. Strangely: none of them has film or television experience.
